Scholarship details

Overview
As one of Malaysia’s Top Business Schools, PutraBusiness School (PBS) attracts high achieving applicants from all over thecountry. In order to reward these local high achievers, PBS offers financialaids for their education, to study our brand new programmes (Professional MBAin Human Potential Management, Professional MBA in Marketing, MBA inAccounting, Specialised Master of Science and Specialised Doctor ofPhilosophy). 
Criteria
Applicant must meet all the below requirements General
  • Applicants must be Malaysian citizens at the time of application.
  • All scholarships shall be in the form of tuition fee waiver only.
  • The quantum of scholarships (tuition fee waiver) to successful applicants is at the sole discretion of Putra Business School (PBS).
  • Students receiving full scholarships/financial assistance from other bodies are not eligible for any of the mentioned scholarships.
  • All scholarships awarded are neither transferable nor exchangeable for cash.
  • The scholarship offered is also subject to specific terms and conditions, which will be stated in an agreement to be signed by the applicant and PBS.
  • The terms & conditions of scholarships may be modified and amended from time to time as deemed appropriate by PBS.
  • The applicant is required to pay all fees due prior to commencement of tri/semester while waiting for the decision of the scholarship. If the scholarship is approved, payment made may be carried forward to cover the balance fees or reimbursement may be requested, whichever way deemed appropriate.
  • In the event the student withdraws from the programme before completion, student needs to pay back the amount of scholarship benefited.
  • Should student defer their study intake, whether the entitlement is carried forward to the subsequent intake is subject to approval and the availability of the scholarship.
  • PBS reserves the right to review scholarships awarded on a yearly basis. In exceptional cases, scholarships may be withdrawn at any time in the event of gross misconduct or failure to meet the required academic standing.
  • On all matters pertaining to the Scholarship, the decision(s) of the Scholarship Committee of PBS shall be final and binding.
  • PBS reserves the right to decide on the number of scholarships to be awarded each year.
Merit Scholarship
  • The scholarship covers up to 100% of the tuition fee for full-time study.
  • For full-time mode, the credit load in each trimester is 9 – 12 credits (3 – 4 courses).
  • Criteria for Eligibility
  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum CGPA 3.50 (for full scholarship) or minimum CGPA 3.30 (for partial scholarship) from recognised institution
  • Interview is required
  • Letter from a referee is required (Dean/lecturer/employer)
  • Specific Terms and Conditions
  • Candidate must obtain a minimum CGPA of 3.50 every trimester to maintain the scholarship.
Research Scholarship (for the Specialised PhD and MSc programmes)For the Specialised Master of Science ProgrammeMaster Research Scholarship covers up to 100% of the tuition fee for full-time study over four semesters.Criteria for Eligibility
  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum CGPA 3.50 from recognised institution
  • Research proposal is approved by the Studies Committee
  • Interview is required
  • Letter from a referee is required (Dean/lecturer/employer)
  • Specific Terms and Conditions
  • Must submit an article to a Scopus indexed journal by the 3rd semester as a requirement for continuous funding in the 4th semester. An evidence of such submission must indicate that the article has been sent for review as stated by the journal editor.
For the Specialised Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) ProgrammePhD Research Scholarship covers up to 100% of the tuition fee for full-time study over six semesters.Criteria for Eligibility
  • Master’s degree with minimum CGPA 3.50 from recognised institution
  • Research proposal is approved by the Studies Committee
  • Interview is required
  • Letter from a referee is required (Dean/lecturer/employer)
  • Specific Terms and Conditions
  • Must submit an article to a Scopus indexed journal by the 4th semester as a requirement for continuous funding in the 5th and 6th semesters. An evidence of such submission must indicate that the articles have been sent for review as stated by the journal editor.
